Guided Walks

The Star Bunkhouse’s owners Emma and Pete are both holders of the Mountain Leader award. In addition to your stay at our bunkhouse, we can offer you a wide selection of guided walks in the Black Mountains and the Central and Western Beacons. We also offer full training for groups planning charity treks, covering aspects such as packing & kit, movement on different types of terrain, and practice walks.

We love the Brecon Beacons National Park and would like to share this passion with larger groups staying at the bunkhouse, and with qualified Mountain Leaders you can rest assured about your comfort and safety at all times.

Prices vary depending on numbers. Typically a half day walk will cost £65 and a full day walk will cost £130.

To arrange a group booking for accommodation with guided walk(s), please contact us via our online enquiry form or telephone 01874 730 080 / 07341 906 937 .

Pete is an experienced leader for adventurous training, and has led numerous hill walking expeditions and challenges in the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia, as well as further afield, in places such as the Dolomites.
