Guided Walks -
The Star Bunkhouse’s owners Emma & Pete are both holders of the Mountain Leader (ML) award.
We offer guided walks in the Black Mountains* (Eastern Beacons) and the Central and Western Beacons, to guests staying at the bunkhouse. The Brecon Beacons National Park holds a very special place in our hearts, and we love to share our enthusiasm for the landscape, history, geology, flora & fauna, myths & legends and so much more!
We also offer training for any groups planning, for example, a charity trek or expedition, which covers aspects such as packing & kit, movement on different types of terrain, (wild) camping and practice treks.
You can be assured about your comfort and safety at all times: we are highly experienced mountain guides trained in outdoors first aid, and all activities within the remit of our ML qualifications are fully insured. We are also linked to a network of other freelance MLs in Wales, so additional guides may be invited to join us if required.
Prices depend on length of walk and number of leaders required (1 leader per 10 people). Prices available on request.
